Training

The EOSC CZ Training Centre provides comprehensive support and facilities for training, educational and related activities. This includes the provision of trainers and speakers and the implementation of training. The Training Centre will also organise cooperation with universities and other institutions while collecting requests for training and education; it will also provide a list of available training courses in the Czech Republic.

In this lecture, we will learn about the basic principles of open data, their legislative anchorage and their relation to European data policies. Using concrete examples of data handling, we will show how the quality of data provided varies across institutions.

This presentation shows concrete cases where Open Science principles have proven their worth in practice and contributed to the development of scientific research. These principles can be used by future Data Stewards to establish relationships with future researchers in their institutions.

During the talk, we will discuss the different types of licenses, including public licenses such as Creative Commons, open-source software licenses such as the GNU GPL and MIT, and database licensing. We will also discuss practical approaches to licensing, choosing the proper license, and situations in which licensing should be avoided, both from the perspective of the licensor and the licensee.

Open Science Workshop 2024

The fourth edition of the University Open Science Workshop 2024 will take place at the Faculty of Social Studies of MU. The lecture part of the workshop will focus mainly on scientific data management, followed by a panel discussion and workshops on Open Science as a project requirement and the use of the Data Stewardship Wizard tool for creating DMPs. The entire program, including registration, can be found on the Open Science MUNI website. The event will also be accessible online via MS Teams.

e-IRG Workshop BE Presidency

The e-Infrastructure Reflection Group (e-IRG) organises two open workshops every year, each under the auspices of the corresponding presidency of the EU Council. The Belgian EU Presidency e-IRG Workshop will be organised as a hybrid event and will bring together e-IRG stakeholders in Brussels, Belgium, as well as online and worldwide. The e-IRG events are official EU presidency events which will take place in the framework of the “Conference on Research Infrastructures” and the “ESFRI Forum meeting”, similar to the Lund events under the Swedish EU presidency.
