We’re Making History – the National Portal EOSC-CZ is Here

Seven years have passed since the EOSC Initiative was launched. And two years since the project was approved in the Czech Republic. Today, thousands of hours of work and scores of people involved in the initiative are turning into a major milestone, which is the launch of the national EOSC.CZ portal.

Representatives of the project EOSC-CZ Attend the European Big Data Value Forum 2023

In October 2023, a significant gathering for the European big data and artificial intelligence community called European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF) took place in Valencia, Spain. The conference saw participation from over 500 attendees, including representatives of the EOSC initiative in the Czech Republic.

Coordinated by the Association of Libraries of the Czech Republic, this event involved the active participation of universities in five different cities. Reaching for Progress: EOSC Symposium 2023 Advances Open Science

EOSC representatives from all European countries gathered in Madrid, Spain. During the EOSC Symposium 2023 in September, representatives from the Czech Republic actively engaged in discussions concerning the initiative's future steps, priorities, and strategic direction. The event was held under the auspices of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Press release: New era of Czech science. The EOSC initiative is entering a hot phase in the Czech Republic 

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic has approved funding for a project called "IPs EOSC-CZ". This project officially started its active phase on Monday, September 4, 2023.
