Physical Sciences

The group is formed both by representatives of large research infrastructures (which ensures participation in large international experiments) and many smaller groups from the field of physics. Many large projects produce data in laboratories abroad, and Czech institutions participate in the management of such data. Some of these projects have large teams dedicated to data operations and secure data storage. At the same time, they have also developed tools that can be adopted by other projects. Transferring the experience from these international teams to the EOSC CZ environment will be one of the project’s key activities. Other activities of this working group include addressing data management procedures for groups that generate smaller amounts of data and would find the tools for large experiments unnecessarily complex. The already existing repositories and data standards for some disciplines will be documented so that the national repository is able to register such data.
