-
17 April 2025
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM - online
This course is held in the Czech language.
Annotation: Compliance with binding legislation and ethical standards is a prerequisite for human subjects research. The workshop will focus on the legal and moral aspects of protecting the privacy of research participants, which will then be reflected in the handling and possible future use of sensitive data. Practical examples from biomedical and sociological research will be used to show which aspects should be taken into account already during the conception of a research project and what should ideally be included in the informed consent of research participants about the long-term preservation and possible further use of research data.
Benefits for participants: Participants will learn about the legal framework for protecting personal data, fundamental ethical principles for using and sharing sensitive research data, and their application in practice. They will gain an overview of the necessary parts of informed consent and how to consider the possibility of long-term storage, use, and sharing of data when formulating it.
Level: beginner, intermediate

Prerequisites: The course participant should have a basic understanding of research activities and working with data, or plan to engage in research projects.
